Episode 59: The Power of a Place

There’s something significant about a place. Places evoke memories, hold us throughout certain seasons, and shape our personality and perception. Biblically, God gave people places for certain reasons. Moses had a mountain, Elijah had a cave, and Nehemiah had the outskirts of a broken city wall. These were the places they prayed, pondered, and grew. Even Jesus had a “place…” The Mount of Olives.

In Scripture we see that places had purpose—and in this episode we look at five different roles places filled.

1. A Place of Prayer
2. A Place of Provision
3. A Place of Preparation
4. A Place of Pain
5. A Place of Power

Gutsy Faith Challenge:

✔ Find your place
(Where is your special place with God? What does that look like?)

✔ Protect your place
(Once you find it, keep it safe.)

✔ Re-visit your place.
(Our place with God is meant to be visited often. The more we go there, the more we long for that place throughout our day.)
